3 cups chocolate chips | 1 15oz. can condensed milk |
dash of salt (omit) | 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract |
1/2 - 1 cup chopped nuts (optional) |
Line 8-9" square pan with aluminum foil; butter the foil. Combine chips and milk in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on High for 3 minutes, stirring halfway through. Add vanilla, and nuts if desired. Spread evenly evenly into pan. Chill 2 hours, or until firm. Remove from pan, cut into pieces, store in an airtight container.
As of this writing, haven't tried any variations yet, but lots suggest themselves. Try adding other kinds of adulterants (butterscotch or white chips, for example) just before folding into the pan. Try making 1/4 with peanut butter chips, and layer them on top of the chocolate. And so on.
